Mid week the Bay to yourself

Fishing at this time of the year shore test most as the mornings are rather cool and the slight wind from the west cuts deep so rug up.
This week on the water I found Trevally at Trevally Alley and just of the Oil Wharf and there is plenty to keep most anglers happy the only problem is the size they all seem to be a small run of fish, (So one Trevally and lots of chips).
Tailor have move from the hot water this week but still worth a look as they might just be there tomorrow morning one cast with a metal slice will tell you if any one is home.
I found heaps of bait size Slimmy Mackerel at the drums so if you are heading out for a shot at Yellow Fin or Kings these bait would be right on the money just anchor and burley with Pilchards around on of the drums.
Very slow on Flathead this week.

At this time of the year the fishing can be very good, The Kingies may have move off but there is plenty on the bite and the weather shore a little cool in the mornings but why start so early, I have found that a 8am start is just right the sun is up and the the fish are feeding, Trevally Tailor Salmon and Flathead are around and if you would like a day on the Black fish this is the right time of the year to try for them and they are great sport and top tucker and the Port Hacking is full of them at this time of the year.

This weekend should be rather good as the weather sound okay so far, Trevally Alley is fishing well but you will need to work for them I found he Trevally on and off this week but still managed a good feed.
Tailor are moving around and we picked up a few fish trolling the third runway in the middle of the day but only smaller fish about 35cms.

The next fishing school is on the first monday in September starts at 6pm to 9pm and the following Saturday is the day on the water this class is filling so be quick.
