Trout trip to Snowy Mountains

Steve with a pair of Sand Flathead caught off Coogee

John and a nice Rainbow caught trolling

Rob fly fishing the Thredbo river

Headed to the snowy mountains this week with four keen anglers to have a shot at Trout fishing, The aim was trolling and fly fishing both in the streams and out on the lake.
First some leasons in fly casting and general fly fishing gear and to learn all there is in fishing for Trout the way they feed and there habits on the streams or out on the lake.
Trolling produced some nice fish for the guys over there three days but the weather made fishing the streams a little hard but all in all a top few days in the snowy mountains.
Keen on Trout fishing give me a call for a few top days. 0418 169 439

Botany Bay over the weekend was a little quite but still found a few good fish to keep all happy Trolling produced Salmon along the Third Runway and Yarra Bay.
Trevally around Trevally Alley but you will need to work for them.
Bream off the Third runway and out into the middle of the Bay.
The odd Kingie now starting to show but in smaller numbers, Remember that 65cms is now the legal size, The Kingies are in good numbers along the coast towards Wedding cake island.
I found quite a few good size sand Flathead wide from Coogee drifting.
Spinning with soft plastics for Flathead we are finding the odd good fish with a little work.

This weekend I have two spots free for the singles day which is on Sunday $150.00 per person this is a top days fishing chasing all the different species that are around in the bay this time.
Trolling, Spinning with plastics, Live baiting for kings, Bait fishing for Trevally and Bream.

Next Fishing School is Monday the 5th and I now have two spots free as two needed move there dates so if you are keen give me a call day on the water is Saturday the 10th.

Started at Trevally Alley but again slow only seen one fish landed in another boat.
Try trolling Yarra Bay and score out first Tailor and lost two more.
Reanchored on the other side of Botany Bay at Kurnell Point and tried againg for Trevally, Slow start but the burley did its job and Trevally came on not in big numbers but not a bad size.
Alisha hooked and landed a small shark from the bottom that mush have move into our burley trail.
Headed to the third runway and again trolled and boated six Tailor one small Salmon and Riley Pringle landed his first every Kingfish top effort as he is only eight and a very keen angler which was returned to the water as the size is now 65cms as this fish measured 60cms this summer will be interesting.
Anchored just of the runway and tried for Bream still to early in the season boating a small fish.

Surface action in the Bay

This weekend had us out on the water and the weather was just right light wind from the west, Tailor were feeding across Yarra Bay on the surface so trolling and spinning produced the results most fish were around the 35cms with a few better fish mixed in great fun on light tackle.
Trevally slow at Trevally Alley, Better results from Kurnell point as all anglers scored well keeping a few for the table and releasing plenty.
Just of the third runway boated one nice Bream on a nipper bait and landed a 65cm Flathead spinning with soft plastic in the same area, Quick photo and back into the water she went.
The fishing has been great this Winter and the summer season is just starting so if you are keen on a top day fishing give me a call.
King Fish are just around the corner book in so you don`t miss out before Christmass as this season should be a ripper.

Weipa Trip 08

I have just locked a week in for next year for a week fishing in Weipa up on Cape York April 7th to the 13th this is prime time in this area. Your trip is based on the water so you can fish 24-7 if you wish we have two smaller tenders with 50hp for all your fishing and exploring. Fish the vast creeks for Barra, Jacks, Fingermark, Queenfish and Trevally, Fish the coral bommies for Trevally, Coral Trout and many more.
Each day is fished in a new area and there normally plenty on offer.
This trip just needs six keen anglers to join us for a great weeks fishing. But be quick as this trip always fills fast.

All details of the Weipa trip please give me a call 0418 169 439.

Botany Bay this week is fishing rather well Bream and Trevally around Trevally Alley but slow fishing and you will need to work for them this week. Tolling just of Kurnell Point this week had us with two double hookups on Tailor.

Back on the Bay

My first trip back out on the Bay after a short break, A quick look at the hot water for tailor with no luck, Trolled Yarra bay and scored one nice Tailor.
Anchored at Trevally Alley and found the fishing slow the Trevally were all of a good size landing only six for an hours fishing Nippers and Pilchards as bait.
Flathead on plastics tried Yarra Bay, Brighton and Ramsgate with no luck but this will be drfferent next trip this is how I fine the Flathead spinning in the Bay.
Fish Kurnell Point and had a great session on the Trevally with a lone Tailor joining in so not a bad day out on the water but you will need to work for your fish.

Saturday the 13th, Sunday 21st are still free.

Next Singles day is on the Sunday the 4th of November

Next fishing school the 5th of November and there are still a few spots free.
