Top weather great fishing

This is the best time of the year out on the water, just stick your head out the window today and have a look and its been much the same for the last three to four weeks.
Saturday out on Botany Bay had us anchored at Trevally Alley with a good run in tide at 6.30am and the Trevally and Bream were hungry all the boys caught there share what a top session.
Trolling was next and the Tailor finely made a show, Bag six nice fish and lost a ripper of a Kingie right at the boat, two great sessions on the Bay.
Sunday was a repeat of Saturday but the Kingies made a show sucking down Nippers, Live baits and Pilchard cubes, I though Saturday was good but Sunday was even better at Trevally Alley.
The Tailor had moved and it took us a while to fine them of Sunday, but this time they were feeding on top so out came the metal slices and the boys had a ball.
To great days on the water and the weather, Have you looked out the window yet, give me a call and I have you out there and into them. 0418 169 439.

Winter fishing

Just a little jacket from the Peak

Botany Bay at this time of the year produces well, Trevally are one of the targeted species and there are good numbers around the deeper water spots like Trevally Alley, Bare island and the drums, Also I have found Slimys and large Yellow tail around the drums and sticks.
Trevally are also just off the third runway.
Spinning with soft plastic along the third runway will produce good Flathead just work the drop off along the markers.
Trolling in the Bay of late has been a little slow but the Tailor should start showing up on most trolling runs.
Good Bream are a top chance at night in the shallows along with the odd stud Whiting you will need to fish the run in tide for best results, Nipper for bait.

DEEP SEA this week we fished the Peak in good conditions but the Leather Jackets made it hard snipping leads off one after another we even caught three on jigs.
But we put a top feed together of jackets, Pinkies, Morwong. No Kingies but they will start showing in good numbers soon and winter time on the water is the best time to fish off shore we have week after week of flat seas and no wind, Hey we can even start at 8am if that suits no need for early starts.

Shut down on the Bay

Well the weather was at its best, no wind, no sea and all this on a weekend hard to believe, but the fish seem to have lock jaw, Saturday I fished five spots that normally produce good numbers of Trevally and a few Bream only to find Slimys and large Yellow tail at each spot.
Trolled both the Runway and Container wall with no luck so out came the soft plastic and we found a few Flathead for the day. Barry a good mate scored well on Saturday afternoon at Trevally Alley on Bream and Trevally but said he burley hard to bring them on the bite this was on the run out tide.
Sunday we headed off shore, filled the live bait tank with Slimys and head to the Peak, The Kingies should now start turning up in good Numbers over the next few months and we will be heading out there when the weather suits jigging, as all the new Shimano jigging gear is now on board and ready for action.
Drifting two baits on the bottom we scored a solid Morwong and a few Leather jackets, Bloody things are every were.
Hooked a solid fish on one of the Slimys but pulled the hooks, Droped a jig and hooked a solid Bonito. Headed back to the Snapper grounds but very quite only the odd fish.

Fishing with ET

One of the Flathead taken on Squidgies by the thirds runway while filming

fishing Trips

Over the last few days I have had ET out filming around the Bay and off shore, We found the fishing a little tough in the Bay but did well on soft plastics with a few nice Flathead over by the third runway, Off Shore the Blue Morwong are on the bite in 6ometres wide from Coogee and last week I found good numbers of Snapper in the same area along with Jackets as they seem to be every were, great on the plate but we lost a lot of gear to them.

This weekend I have one spot free for Saturdays on the Bay and we are running the afternoon trip off Shore looking for Snapper and Morwong in that 6ometres should be great fishing and I still have spots open for this on the Saturday so if you are keen only $150 per person just give me a call 0418 169 439.

SNAPPER TIME OFF SYDNEY

Headed off shore today to check out the Snapper and found good numbers of plate size fish and the odd larger fish as well, I have just loaded the boat with new Shimano rods and reels spooled with Schneider braid just right for this type of fishing, also great for jigging Kingies.

We anchored and fished across broken reef and also caught Flathead and Jackets we finished with a top bag of fish at the end of the day.

This weekend the weather is looking good and the sea conditions are just right and I have the boat free for Sunday morning if any one is keen just give me a call and we head out to the same area and boat a few good Reds.
Next week I have a few days free later in the week also for Deep sea or a Botany Bay trip if this suits
