Kingies are all over the Bay and I have pick up a few from the Third Runway, Drums, Trevally Alley and Cape Banks, lots of smaller fish with a few better one and the best this week 80cms.

SYDNEY FISHING REPORT

My latest DVD is out JEWEL OF THE SOUTH
The Port Hacking River

Port Hacking and Botany Bay DVD are now available
by post for $24.95 including postage.
Botany Bay Report
This week I headed away with my boys for a few days after the Christmas period and Nathan headed out into the Bay and found lots on offer, Kingies are about in good numbers most are around 60cms to 65cms and on light tackle loads of fun, Bream proved a little tough but still around on both tides across the Bay.
Trevally are about at the Sticks and Drums and the end of the Third run way you will need to move around a little to find them.
Quite a few good Flathead are about spinning with Squidgies try the middle of the Bay and back towards Towra Point for best results, Silver beach may be worth a look also this is a top spot in a south wind as it seem to blow every second day.
Surface action is about each day is a little different just look for birds feeding and spin with metals or small Squidgies flick baits as the Salmon just love them.

DEEP SEA AND BOTANY BAY REPORT FISHING

Check out these rippers from the Sticks.

Kingies are about but hooking a legal fish is tricky.

Solid Whiting from the Thrid Runway.

The boy having fun in the Port Hacking this week.

Deep sea this week great out wide in 60 metres of Coogee.

Another top Bream from the Sticks this week.

Botany Bay and Deep sea report.
Another top week of fishing, a few day we had to work a little to put a feed in the boat but the quality of the fish is at its best.
Bream are about in good numbers and you will need to move a round to find them, I found good numbers around the sticks right across to the Thrird Runway on both tides.
Trevally are a little light on but a few good fish to be caught the Drums have been rather good, today was a little slow on them.
Surface action is about in the lower end of the Bay,lots of Salmon but tricky to hook I have caught a few Tailor under the schools that you can see.
Kingies are about but its tricky hooking a good one most days we are catching 4 to 8 fish all around 57cms to 63cms remember 65cms is the legal length of Kingfish.
Deep sea trip mid week was slow in close but out wide we did well on Morwong and Snapper and we pick up a few Bonito trolling first thing in the morning.

FISHING TRIPS SYDNEY

70cm Kingie taken just off the Third Runway on the run out tide this week.

Two different days much the same results from the Sticks

Not bad for your first Kingie at 6years top effort little mate.

Botany Bay report
This week the fishing in the Bay for the new year has kicked well, Bream are now about in good numbers and most days we are doing well with quite a few solid fish mixed in.
Trevally Alley has been a little slow but we have caught the odd Kingie along the main wall but yet to pull a legal on from the Alley, most fish are between 55cms to 63cms I have found but the last to trips the boy have had a few bust offs.
The Drums are fishing well on the big tides but burley is needed to bring the fish on the bite, Bream and Trevally making up the catch and the odd Kingie.
The Surface action has now backed off and today I never seen many birds working at all.
