WILD AND WINDY ON THE BAY

This winter has been one of the coolest for a long while but the fishing has stayed rather consistent and Trevally are the main species as they love the cooler water but there not all over the bay that's for shore and today was a little tough that's for shore, I worked hard with my crew today and they ended up with a nice catch mainly Trevally and one small Tailor.
A report from the boys back at ramp said that Tailor were school up along the Oil Wharf and they did well on plastics but they found it tough as well working for every fish they boated.

DEEP SEA TRIP

The weekend we only headed out on Sunday and the boy were keen to tackle a few Kingies so we headed to the Peak as did all the other boats, Sea was flat and the wind dropped off making for great drifting conditions with a live bait tank full of small Slimies all looked good and on our first drift we hooked up and landed a small King around 58cms and the next seven were all the same size and the other boats all seem to be catching the same size fish, So we headed back in close as the wind was just stating to blow, Dropping baits into 5ometres we did rather well boating a good bag of sand Flathead and a few Jackets one Bloody ripper, So a good mix off shore and all enjoyed the day.

WHAT COMING UP

*Saturday the 30th is the singles day and I run this Deep Sea or around the Bay and I have a few spots still open.

*The next fishing School is on the 1st of September this is a full days fishing plus a nights at Hunts Marine.

*24th is open for a day out fish Deep sea or Botany Bay, Why not head down south and we will spend the day targeting Snapper.

WINDY BUT GOOD FISHING

Late last week I started the morning off at Trevally Alley and never lost a bait, Trolling all of Yarra bay again no good, Headed to the third runway and pick up one nice Tailor on the troll and then trolled the full runway with out a result.
Dropped the anchor to try a little spinning with small metal lures in the same area that we hook the first Tailor and this was it just about every cast was a hook up on Tailor and the odd Trevally, so the next few days were spent working this area and the results repeated them self each day but the wind made fishing a little tough for the next three days.
Sunday proved a better day but the fishing slowed a little, Scored a nice Kingie on a metal slice which is a little odd for Winter in the Bay along with a few Tailor and three Flathead on Plastics and only one Trevally that was legal and lots of throw backs.
