WEEKEND OF TOP WEATHER

BOTANY BAY
Two out standing days out on the water, the weather was spot on and the fishing was up there to, Bream are still on the bite wide from Towra Point and I found the run out tide on both Saturday and Sunday early morning the best time and they seemed to slow a little as the sun got higher in the sky, Nippers for bait.
Still no surface action from one end of the Bay to the other, we also trolled lures along the Runway on Saturday to see if the odd Tailor could be found but no good, I havn`t trolled a fish up in the Bay for about month.
Trevally slow but most fish are around .7 to 1kg in size and loads of fun on light tackle, I did well around the Drums both days on Nippers and cut Pilchards on the run in tide.
Spinning with Squidgies both days while targeting Bream proved a winner with a few fish caught the best was about 55cms on Sunday, Sorry no photos this week as my camera decided to play up.
Fished both days looking for Kingies but no good and this is from one end of the Bay to the other, Mick from Fishing World scored one nice fish that smashed a popper but he said that was the only action he had on them.
But I still think we will have one last wave of Kingie action before Winter sets in.

DEEP SEA
Nathan headed off shore on Sunday afternoon and did rather well with a mixed bag of fish, No Dolphin Fish from the FADs as they would have liked and the Kingies are hiding some were, Nathan and the boy head back in closer and work the reef areas for a mixed bag and did rather well.

Easter Fishing

Well the weather was a little off, Nathan headed out as I took my boys away for a break, Bream and Trevally seemed the fish to target as the Kingies seemed a little quite this weekend, Nathan found a few good Trevally around the Drums both days but he had to work for them the fish that he caught were all of a good size for the Bay.
Bream seemed best on first light and the sticks proved the spot, Nippers for bait fished on the ball sinker and long trace but once the sun was up they thin out only the odd hookup after that.

Fish caught over last week

EASTER SATURDAY IS STILL OPEN AND THE WEATHER LOOKS GREAT.

Head off shore or fish the Bay
Call me for bookings 0418 169 439

This weekend again Hot and cold and I found that we had to work hard to find fish but we did not to bad, Saturday mainly bream wide from Towra Point and across to the Third Runway we should have stay on the Bream as all else shut down on the run in tide.
Nathan score a few good fish on the afternoon run off shore with Dolphin fish, Salmon and a mixed bag at the Peak of the bottom and Sundays trip for the afternoon was much the same.
I had the morning trip and had a shit start as I was running late as the bloody alarm didn`t go off, Pick the boys up and explained my self and headed to the bait grounds with them all giving me heaps, Started well with a nice Kingie that smash a Pilli fillet and a good Flathead form Trevally Alley and then all went quite.
Headed to the Bream grounds and fished five spots for two small Bream this is tough fishing for this time of the year. With live baits on board and one hour to go I decided to target Kingies, We landed 67cm, 80cm, 90cm now that the way to finish tough day on the Bay.
FISH EASTER SATURDAY BOOK NOW THIS IS OUR ONLY FREE DAY OVER THIS WEEKEND.
April Fishing School spots still open this is a night plus a full day on the water.

Great weather fishing hot & cold

The last few day on the water has been rather good, No wind above 10knots or rain but the fishing proved a little hot and cold and I think it might have been the big tides over the weekend.
Bream not to bad from Towra point across to the third runway most fish only small around 26cms to 30cms with the biggest Bream just on 35cms caught at the bait grounds.
Deep water for Trevally and Bream, spots like Bare island, Trevally Alley, Drums and Kurnell point all fished poor due to the big tides, to much run in the water, only small numbers caught.
King fish prove even hard to find, I caught two good fish on Saturday both around 75cms and lost a ripper, Nathan found it hard on his trip hooking more kingies than I did but lost a few rippers busting up big time and then landing a few smaller Kingies tough for this time of the year, very strange.
Hooked landed and lost a few Flathead over the weekend, With wide off Towra point proving the better spot.

Windy and wild

ALLAN AND THE BOYS

MICKEY MELCHIONDO FROM WEEN

Friday and Saturday was full on blowing 20 to 25 knots and fishing this weekend proved rather tough, Friday we found a few Kingies, Bream and Trevally and trolled a nice Tailor from the Third runway.
Saturday again the wind made it rather hard, Kurnell Point fished well with Trevally and Bream but slow going, Gary Brown was out on the water and he said that he work hard for two Flathead.
Sunday headed out in the rain the wind had drop off a little and my plan was to target bream
I fished five spots and caught four nice fish and this is the way the fishing was all day, but we ended up with a nice catch, Bream, Trevally, Flathead and Slimy Mackerel.
My phone rang just as I past under the Captain Cook Bridge on my way home after three tough days on the water and the voice said, chance for a fish this afternoon, this was the last thing on my mind so I rang Nathan and he was keen, so the pick up was at 4pm and the weather just got better and better, Standing on the wharf waiting was Mickey Melchiondo from the band WEEN The boys were out on tour from home town New Hope Pennsylvanin USA.
The afternoon proved better fishing than the rest of the weekend and the wind had drop off, Micky scored Kingies, Bream and Trevally form Trevally Alley and he said that the Kingies
red hot pulling harder than most and I would fly back just to have another crack at one.
