Mid week fishing red hot

After a top weekend of fishing with a good mixed bag each day and great weather the mid week has been the same, Yesterday I started around the Drums in the middle and this was a little slow only a few smaller trevally to kick the day off, Trolling Yarra Bay scored us two solid Tailor both around 1.5kg the Tailor are feeding deep so deeper divers are a must.
Good run of Bream on the weekend and this followed suit yesterday just wide of the Third Runway, Nippers as bait.
Spinning for Flathead only had us boat one fish form the mouth of Woolooware Bay, Move around and cover plenty of ground if Flathead are the species that you are after.
Luderick are worth a shot in the Georges River and I have seen anglers catching quite a few from the Container wall most days.

I now only have Saturday free so if you are keen on some great fishing that the Bay has to offer just give me a call, but be quick as this will go today so grab a few mates or the kids and let me take you fishing out on Botany Bay.

Good mixed bag

Today was the singles day that is on the last Sunday of each month and what a day.
Early morning and no ship at the Drums, Good bite from Trevally only a smaller run but plenty to keep all working and not think of the cool early breeze from the West
Today we fished the start of the runout around 8am just wide of the Thrid runway for six nice Bream all on Nippers.
Trolled Yarra Bay both Saturday and Sunday for Tailor couple of good fish around 1.5kg and a few smaller fish.
Spinning just of the beach Dolls Point one nice Flathead around 52cms, Top weather what a time to be on the water and the fishing is right up there.
Other anglers today fishing for Luderick again from the Container wall with a good bag of fish.
Bump into a good mate at the ramp on my way home and he had a top catch of Trevally and a few Bream
Another angler scored well fishing for Luderick around the Captain Cook Bridge.

A day up the river

This week had me fishing the Georges River, I don`t spend much time fishing this area, This was a different day, Friend and top ladie angler Margaret Jack scored well with a few nice Bream from under the East Hills Foot Bridge as well as plenty of smaller Bream for the day.
Botany Bay and the Trevally are moving around a little I found two smaller fish around the Drums right on the bottom of the tide on Friday and then head over towards Trevally Alley and scored a few there but had to work for them.
Bream and Flathead still worth a try off the runways and Towra point wide is your best chance on Falthead just drift and work plastics.
There are plenty of large Yellow tail hanging around the Drums.
Spoted a few Kingies but no luck on them the water is still rather warm and the good fishing should continue.

Next weekend I have both day still open, I know its a little cool but the fishing has been really good just rug up and join me for a days fishing its better than cutting the grass.

The Fishing school only has five spots left for Monday night the 4th 6pm to 9pm this is a night at Hunts Marine were I will cover all you need to know when fishing Botany Bay I then take you out on the water and we will catch fish with the methods that I have showed you, Learn all the good spots and the right way to fish Sydney`s water ways. Be quick for this one.

Next Singles day is on the 24th of June only $150.00 person so if you don`t have a group just jump on for a top days fishing.

Luderick & Surgeon fish in the Port Hacking River

I headed out on Tuesday afternoon for a spot of Luderick fishing with good mate Glen, We fished Yowie Bay in the Port Hacking River.
First bait saw me hooked into a solid fish that did me on the bottom, Glen followed with same result, The next three bites came from Luderick and then it slowed up.
Adding more burley help as the fish returned two more Luderick and then Glen hooked a solid Surgeon Fish, The fish headed hard towards the bottom as did our first two hook ups but Glen hit the brakes and turned the fish and landed it.
Surgeon Fish are a test on Ludreick gear and are a great table fish.

Fishing School is now taking bookings for June class that is on the 4th 6pm to 9pm
Day on the water the following weekend. Cost $200.00

The next singles day is on the last Sunday in June as May is full so be quick as its starting to fill, This is for anglers that have problems finding a group to head out fishing just give me a call and we have you or you and a mate on the water fishing. This day runs the last sunday of every month.
Cost $150.00 per person

Kings are still hanging around

The weather is just about hard to beat at this time of the year, Cool winds from the west early morning and just top days and the fishing is rather good.
Trevally are one species that are firing, I have found the Drums quite good on the runout tide this week.
Small soft plastics work well if you allow to sink deep and work them slow back to the boat in the burley trail.
As my last report put in the effort to find the bait and you will be rewarded, One good King of 85cms and two other hits without hooking up and a small Salmon all within one hour just of the Container wall at about 11am on live baits.
As long as the water temp holds around 20` its worth a try for Kings.

Botany Bay fishing well

This time of the year is great fishing and the weather is at its best.
Trevally are steady at most spots and I have found the Drums quite good.
Bream are still a great chance of the runways you will need nippers or worms for bait for best results I found that I had to move around to find them.
Spinning for flathead of Towra this weekend had us boat one nice fish around 54cms.
Kings a little slow but they are there if you put the time in.

June fishing school in now starting to fill so if you would like to fine out how to fish the Sydney area just join the school night class on the 4th 6pm to 9pm and the day on the water is the following weekend cost $200.00 per person but I only take small groups so be quick for this one.
