Great Sydney Fishing

FISHING REPORT
Another windy weekend and Saturday was a test as we headed off shore from the Port Hacking River, swell was only 1metre but with the 15knots of north east wind made it tricky, we headed across Bate Bay to the reefs and tucked in tight to avoid the wind and swell and we found fish on our first spot big Slimy Mackerel, Trevally, Snapper, Sweep and Pike all in the mix so a good start in shit conditions.
After a few hours and the weather getting worst now we had rain heading our way as well, back to the river it was and we anchored on the flats and did well on Bream on the run out tide, great day in tough and testing conditions.
Bream from the Flats in the Port Hacking River.
Sunday had us in Botany Bay with better weather and the fishing fired, Big Slimy Mackerel are about as cold water has pushed into the Bay with the few days of north easter.
Good Tailor caught trolling Yarra Bay just out from the moored boats, they are not feeding on the surface yet so trolling still a better method in catching a few.

Lower in the Bay we did okay with a few Trevally before heading back into the river mouth to hunt Flathead and we did well boating to trophy fish, Ryan nailed a 75cm beast and Chris five minutes later landed a 71cm Flathead that were both released after the photos, good stuff guys.
Both fish were caught on Squidgies Blood Worm Wriggler and a Drop Bear Fish.
Ryans Crocodile 75cms, PB Nice work mate.
Chris and his PB, Good stuff mate, top fish.
