FISHING REPORTS BACK ON TRACK

Tony and the girls with a nice Kingie from the Drums.

Two Bream caught south from the Sticks in 4metres on Saturday.

To all that follow my reports each week sorry about the delay I had a small problem with this site but we are back on track.
The last few weeks the fishing and the weather has been rather good in the Bay the Deep sea fishing a little slow, The Bay has produced a few good Kingies but its been a tough season dew to all the dredging at Port Botany this will stop soon and next season we will be right again I hope.
Kingies will still be around to about the end of May before they start to move.
Bream are at there best and we had a week of slow fishing but last weekend they fired both days and good fish up around 35cms.
The big run of Bonito has now slow and we are only picking up the odd fish each trip trolling with small lures working well and my new lure that Ive been working on is producing good numbers of fish keep an eye out for this one it should be available soon.
Trevally are now starting to show in good numbers around the Drums and wide from Watts reef and Trevally Alley would be worth a try.

A nice Kingie from the Thrid Runway

Well another top week of fishing around the Bay, Trevally are about and a little work will help in finding them the Drums is fishing well.
Bonito are thick off shore along the coast and trolling with small skirts and bib lures will bring results.
The Bream have slowed a little in the Bay and I think early is producing more fish as I have spoken with a few anglers and all there fish are coming biting on first light and I have found the same result but only this last week.
Kingies are still around but a little work is needed to fine them and good bait is a must.
Deep sea and the bottom fishing has been very slow only producing the odd good fish but this will change from day to day drift to drift.

FISHING REPORT

Top Whiting from the Sticks early morning.

How this for a Star Fish caught on a Nipper.

Kingies are about with a little work.

Nice Snapper taken of the reefs in 6ometres on a sloppy day off shore.

FISHING REPORT
Another week of great fishing in Botany Bay, Bream slowed a little over the last week at the Sticks but my last trip out we did well landing quite a few, the Third runway is also worth a shot.
Trevally are about and the Drums are fishing well.
Kingies need a little work and we have scored a few but tricky dew to the dirty water coming from the Port Botany area.
Off shore the fishing is a little tough he Peak is covered with Jackets and gear lost is on the cards when fishing here the close reefs are also slow but the odd good Snapper and Morwong are about. trolling in close is producing Bonito and Mack Tuna in good numbers.

*Tuesday the 30th Singles day Deep sea trip.
*FISH EASTER DAY OPEN BOOK NOW.
*Next Fishing School April the 12th spot still open.

Early morning at the Stick.

Solid Trevally taken on a Squidgie Flick Bait on the end of the Third Runway

How this for a Star Fish caught at the Sticks on a Nipper.

The boys with a nice Red caught on a sloppy day off shore.

FISHING REPORT
Well the weather has now turned just a little windy over the weekend, Saturday proved a little tough as the 1metre swell with 15knots of east wind made it quite sloppy, trolling is still producing as many Bonito as you need from Cape Banks right along the coast small skirted lures or small bibbed lures working well.
The bottom fishing has been a little tough only the odd good fish from quite a few good drifts.
Botany Bay is fishing well with Trevally in good numbers around the Drums on the run out tide along with a few Flathead on the bottom in this area.
The Sticks has slowed a little this week still the odd good Bream and a few Flounder and smaller bream are along the third Runway in numbers.
Kingies are still a little tough but we are finding the odd fish to keep all happy, Squid and live baits are needed and look for the clean water to target Kingies.

BOTANY BAY REPORT

Early morning late last week and a solid Whiting at the Sticks

Hows this for a Star Fish, caugh on a Nipper at the Sticks.

Sloppy day off shore and a nice Red from the bottom.

A Squidgie Flick bait did the job on this nice Trevally
right on the end of the 3rd runway.

FISHING REPORT
The weather turns it on for all this weekend, light winds and swell to only a metre but Saturday off shore with wind from the East at 15 knots made it very sloppy off shore, trolling for the Bonito proved good as it has for the last month or so but the sloppy weather proved tough on the bottom fishing.
Botany Bay is still fishing well for Bream Trevally and the odd Tailor but the Kingies are a little tough to find as the dirty water from Port Botany is making it tough, The drums seem the best spot for Trevally at this stage as the water is a little better around the Drums, The sticks again produces well for Bream and the odd Whiting.

FISHING REPORT SYDNEY

Nice Kingies caught out of the dirty water
at Trevally Alley on Saturday.
Peter with a better Bonito taken just of Cape Banks.

How this for a top catch on Saturday Bream, Trevally, Snapper,
Flounder, Squid, Bonito and Tailor.

Stud Squid caught a Watts Reef prime table tucker or bait tough choice.

Fishing Report
Another top week on the water, can the fishing get any better.
Bontio are thick right along the coast along with quite a few small Mack Tuna and Frigets, I have found trolling the blue water just off Cape Banks red hot with double hooks time and time again there not big fish but good fun and dam fine eating.
Trolling the dirty water on the end of the run out tide from Bare island towards Cape Banks over the last few days has produced well for Tailor, there is no bird action or fish working the surface but they seem to be feeding in this area.
Bream are still rather good around the Sticks, the only day I found it tough was Sunday but the run in tide was only small, not much water movement and good flow help when targeting Bream.
Trevally and Kingies are about, the Drums fished well on the weekend for Trevally and small Kingies and we landed a good one at Trevally Alley right on the top of the tide on Saturday but the water this side of the Bay is rather dirty thanks to bloody Port Botany this has made it tough this season on the Kingies for all.

FISHING REPORT SYDNEY

Nice Snapper taken on our first drift.

These two guys did well to land this Kingie after it took them around one of the marker poles, who said you need live bait or Squid, Chicken did the job on this Kingie, top effort boys.

One of the Morwong taken in 6ometres wide from Coogee.

Bream, Whiting, Trevally and Bonito, top mixed bag for the table.

One of the 70cm Kingies we caught on Saturday.

Sunday afternoon the Bream were on the bite at the Sticks.

FISHING REPORT
Big weekend and good weather to match, big tides over the weekend made it tough fishing some spots in the Bay on the morning tides and the run out was a big one.
Big tides are just right to target Bream and we did well both days, Saturday I found good fish at The Third Runway along with two 7ocm Kingies and on Sunday Afternoon it was the Sticks that produced well.
Trolling along the coast the Bontio are thick not large fish but heaps of them, small trolling lures or skirts are working well.
I fished off shore Sunday Morning and found the reefs in close a little tough mainly Sweep and Bonito that responded to the Burley, we then pushed wide into 6ometres to fish the bottom and did well for a mixed bag of Snapper, Morwong, Pig Fish and Flathead.
